but we’re only about half way through. We’ve had some great mixes, some interesting mixes, and some freaking weird ones, but all in all, it’s been a great experience.

As promised, we’ll try our best to have the results posted next Tuesday (5/15/12) and subsequent reviews of all of the flavors after that.

Update: Since I am in such a good mood today I thought I’d give you an extra 4 days to submit flavors.  Contest begins at midnight (12:00 AM PST, 3:00 AM EST) tonight (4/11/12).

We will be doing a shisha giveaway based on the following rules.

Official Contest Rules:

Must be 18 years of age or older to participate. Must be following Hookah How To’s and Reviews blog.
Official start of the contest will be 12:00 AM April 15th 11th and it will go until 11:59 pm of May 1st.
During the period of the contest being open you will be able to submit flavor mixes. Maximum of three mixes per person during the contest. Any more than 3 will be ignored for purposes of the contest. Each mix will be tested by myself and a panel of judges for the various aspects described in my Shisha Reviews. The two best scoring flavor mixes will be awarded prizes.

Must be residing in the United States to receive prize.

Prizes:

Grand Prize: One (1) 250 gram tin of a flavor of your choice from a list to be released later.

2nd Place: Two (2) 50 gram packs of flavors from a list to be released later.

Consolation Prize: All flavor mixes submitted will be officially reviewed and published to the blog with credit given to the original mixer. Reviews will be published 1 per week until all mixes have been reviewed.

Submission Guidelines: Each flavor mix submitted must follow the following format.

Name of the mix (optional)

[Brand] [Flavor] [Proportion of Flavor]

[Repeat Above format for each flavor in the mix]

Any notes you wish to add Whether you wish to have the contents of your mix published. You may request that the recipe not be published.

Name of Submitter (Real First Name AND/OR Tumblr Name)

[City, State (if applicable), Country] (Location is optional) 

Winners will be announced 2 weeks after end of contest.
If the Grand Prize winner is located in the LA or Orange County area they will have the option to exchange the 250 gram tin for one (1) free hookah session and a chance to meet the staff of Hookah How To’s and Reviews at one of the following hookah lounges.
